Operation of the Egyptian Power Grid with Maximum Penetration Level of Renewable Energies Using Corona Virus Optimization Algorithm

Countries around the world are looking forward to fully sustainable energy by middle of century meet Paris climate agreement goals. This paper presents a novel algorithm optimally operate Egyptian grid with maximum renewable power generation, minimum voltage deviation and losses. The optimal operation is performed using Corona Virus Algorithm (CVO). proposed CVO compared Teaching Learning-Based Optimization (TLBO) in terms deviation, losses share energies. real demand, solar irradiance wind speed typical winter summer days considered. 2020 model developed, simulated, optimized DIgSILENT software application. results have proved effectiveness CVO, TLBO, highest possible renewables. step achieve government targets reach 20% 42% penetration level energies 2022 2035, respectively.
